A.Prof Katherine Brown

Genital skin conditions include chronic conditions such as lichen schlerosis, lichen planus, dermatitis and chronic candida as well as acute presentations of a range of conditions affecting the anogenital region.

Katherine is a Clinical Associate Professor with appointments at the University of Sydney and the University of Wollongong. She teaches undergraduate medical students about sexual health and HIV medicine in Phase 1 & 2 at the Graduate School of Medicine and forensic medicine in Phase 4. She has been instrumental in the development and delivery of a number of continuing professional development courses for health practitioners delivered online covering sexually transmissible infections, genital dermatology, genital pain and sexual assault medicine. She is a past president of the Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine. In 2009 the RACP awarded Katherine with a College medal for outstanding service.

Dr Arun Gupta

Dr Arun Gupta

He has significant experience as an Independent Medical Examiner in providing medico-legal reports and WorkCover assessments. With a keen interest in medico-legal reporting, Dr Gupta has now also undertaken a Bachelor of Law at Charles Darwin University.

Dr Alice Tang

Dr Alice Tang

Dr Tang progressed to endocrinology advanced training at the St George Hospital, Nepean Hospital and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research / St Vincent’s Hospital, after which she was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). She has completed a PhD specialising in obesity and metabolic health at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.

Dr Tang has been active in medical education and training; and has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented in national and international conferences. Dr Tang has worked as a Visiting Medical Officer appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst and currently practices in private practice in Hornsby, NSW. She manages patients with a spectrum of endocrinological conditions, including but not limited to; type 2 diabetes, thyroid disease and osteoporosis. She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Australian Diabetes Society.

She has extensive experience in managing psychotic illness, substance use disorders, and mood disorders in youth, having led a community early psychosis team for many years. She has an interest in civil forensic psychiatry in the areas of the psychiatric sequelae of motor vehicle accidents, and historical sexual abuse.

Dr Simon Kinsella

Dr Simon Kinsella

He is soon to commence a role as a non-executive director at the Australian Association of Practice Managers. He has held role as an Honorary Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne from 2004 until 2016, and in the Department of Psychology at Deakin University. Simon has served as the chairman of the Melbourne Branch of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) from 2009 until 2012, and chair of the Victorian State Committee of the APS from 2010-2012. He then joined the Victorian, Tasmanian and ACT Board of the Psychology Board of Australia and was deputy chair of that board from 2016 – 2018. While on the psychology board he was able to continue his contribution to the APS through his voluntary role as the board representative on the Tests and Testing Advisory Group. Subsequently he has also played a role in developing the APS guidelines for psychologists working in the media.

Dr Kinsella regularly appears on Australian television and radio news and current affairs programs to comment on current affairs. He has also advised on documentaries such has How Mad Are You (SBS) and Addicted Australia (SBS).

Dr Peter Isert

Dr Peter Isert

Dr Isert has worked in both public and private hospital sectors in Sydney, in country areas as well as in several overseas countries. He is thought of as a safe, insightful practical and sensible senior anaesthetist whose opinion is respected amongst his surgical and anaesthetic peers alike. He has a life long interest in medical education and MedicoLegal work.

Dr Isert has most likely “seen it all before”, and is ideally placed to give an overall view on the adequacy or otherwise of preoperative patient assessment, intraoperative planning and immediate post op care, in addition to be being able to opine on the appropriateness and safety of a wide range of anaesthetic techniques and choices.

Dr Lara Wetton

Dr Lara Wetton

Dr Lara Wetton is an Australian trained medical practitioner, who has spent the last two decades refining her skills and gaining experience in aesthetic surgery and medicine. Dr Wetton completed her medical degree from Adelaide University. After spending time in the plastic and reconstructive surgery departments of multiple public hospitals, both in Adelaide and Sydney, she decided to follow her passion and enter the world of aesthetics. She completed the advanced fellowship in cosmetic surgery, with the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine, and has been fortunate to work with world renowned surgeons, both in Australia and overseas.

She operates at a number of private hospitals throughout Sydney. She is a vocal advocate for patient safety and sits on the Council of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine (ACCSM). Dr Wetton at various times has served as the ACCSM Registrar representative of the Australian Breast Device Registry, has been the scientific convenor for the surgical stream of COSMETEX Conference, member of the Expert Working Group for the ACCSM Curriculum accreditation, and the Convenor of monthly Journal Club for the ACCSM. Academically, Dr Wetton is on the board of reviewers of an international peer review surgical journal in aesthetic surgery. She is the primary author of multiple scientific papers published in international surgery journals and has presented her findings in multiple scientific conferences over the years.

Dr Wetton continues to maintain her technical and academic edge by active participation in professional development through local and international courses and conferences, and her active involvement in the teaching of the young generation of surgical fellows as a training preceptor for ACCSM.

Dr Charlotte Morgan

Dr Charlotte Morgan

She started her career in 1993 as a Psychometrist, assessing entry level defence force recruits with psychometric tests in South Africa. After completing a MSc in Clinical Psychology in 1996, she worked in the Acute Brain Injury and Brain Injury Rehabilitation wards at 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa as Clinical and Neuropsychologist. She subsequently completed my Doctorate Degree in Neuropsychology and became head of the Department of Neuropsychology at 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria in 1998.

Shortly afterwards she moved to London, England where she worked as Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Wellington Private Hospital where I also periodically acted as head of the Department of Neuropsychology. At this time, she also had a part-time private practice in Harley-Street, specialising in the neuropsychological assessment of non-English speaking brain injured children.

Dr Samuel Chan

Dr Samuel Chan

He is an enthusiastic clinician-scientist, teacher and mentor, and has a PhD in transplant infectious diseases (completed at The University of Queensland). Dr Chan is interested in designing and implementing clinical trials (in collaboration with the Australasian Kidney Trials Network) to reduce gastrointestinal symptom burden and prevent urinary tract infections in chronic kidney transplant recipients.
