He completed his medical degree and advanced training in orthopaedic surgery at UWA. He received fellowship training in shoulder and sports knee surgery in Lyon, France, and completed additional fellowships in hip and knee replacement surgery in Montreal, Canada, and trauma surgery in Nashville, USA. Dr. Blakeney is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia, holding Master’s degrees in surgery from UWA and clinical trials from the University of London.

Dr. Gupta graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland in 1999. Since then, he has served in various public and private hospitals in the South-East Queensland region as a cardiology, medical and anaesthetic registrar. He also has five years of experience working in Intensive Care, particularly post-cardiac surgery care. Dr. Gupta then invested many years of training in integrative medicine and was awarded a Fellowship from the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) in 2008 and a Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2010. He also has physician training certification with Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker in chronic inflammatory illness and a master of nutrition with Dr. Gabriel Cousens. Other significant influences include William Wolcott CN, Robert Marshall PhD, and Dietrich Klinghardt MD PhD.
Dr Gupta established the Lotus Institute of Holistic Health in 2017 to provide integrative medicine training for those seeking it. He also has an advocacy role in integrative medicine, with a prior position on the ACNEM board and a current position on the Australian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) advocacy committee. He is a founding board member for the Australian Chronic Infectious & Inflammatory Disease Society (ACIIDS) and a founding diplomate member for the International Society of Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI).

Dr Matthew Burstow is a General Surgeon based in South East Queensland, specialising in Acute Care and Trauma Surgery. He works in a high-volume acute surgical unit at a major metropolitan hospital, handling diverse acute surgical cases. He also has extensive experience in surgical management, clinical governance, healthcare improvement, and perioperative medicine. Following the completion of a Bachelor of Health Sciences of a Master of Occupational Therapy, William commenced work as a Rehabilitation Consultant for the ADF. In this capacity, his experience includes a range of diagnoses including physical disability, neurological and spinal cord injuries, amputees, traumatic and acquired brain injury, and psychosocial diagnoses. With a caseload of this nature, clients often present with increasing complexity, multiple co-morbities and functional limitations across multiple areas of their life. A key skill he developed in this role was the ability to advocate for the serving members under his care by providing comprehensive written reports that justify their need for care.
