Dr Sunner completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 1989. Following his Orthopaedic training in North Side Sydney Training program, he did a one year fellowship in Arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder/sports medicine in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1989 Dr O’Sullivan graduated from Sydney University. He was on rotation from Royal Newcastle Hospital where he completed his Orthopaedic training in 1996.
In 1997 Dr O’Sullivan then completed his Fellowship year in Dublin in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Foot and Ankle Surgery. Prof Nabavi’s surgical training started at the Orthopaedic unit of the London Hospital Medical College, a pioneering centre for hip and knee arthroplasty. In 1996 Prof Nabavi emigrated to Australia where he completed his training in orthopaedic surgery 2005. He spent a further twelve months sub-specialising in the surgery of the hip and knee, first here in Sydney and subsequently at the Exeter Hip unit which is one of the premier centres for hip surgery in the world. Prof Nabavi is a frequent speaker at national and international scientific meetings. He has presented internationally on his areas of expertise.
