He commenced expert medico-legal practice in 1996 and as of 2021 has provided two thousand reports on pathology related to illness claimed to be due to exposure of inhaled asbestos. Dr Gal has provided expert reports on a variety of medical negligence claims including cases arising from both missed diagnosis and wrong diagnosis of cancer, as well as reports to Police pertaining to their investigations. During 40 years of practice has personally reported on more than 500,000 accessioned cases of surgical pathology, a similar number of accessioned cases of cytology.

Prof Denis Wakefield

Prof Denis Wakefield

Dr Wakefield attended UNSW, graduating with First Class Honours and winning the University Medal for Medicine. He earned dual specialist qualifications in internal medicine (FRACP) and pathology (FRCPA) (immunology). Wakefield was Head of the School of Pathology for ten years before becoming foundation professor of the School of Medical Sciences at the UNSW. He is Director of the Centre for Immunology and Head of Immunopathology with the South Eastern Area Health Service. In 2007, he was appointed Associate Dean for Research and Director of Medical Research.

Dr Wakefield is currently based in Darlinghurst, NSW and is available to conduct MedicoLegal assessments in-person as well as Telehealth via Kawaconn Video. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr Flecknoe-Brown is Chairman of the Editorial Board of the MIMS Disease Index, a Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Sydney.

A.Prof Glenn Reeves

Associate Professor Glenn Reeves trained in medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1986 (MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery), and went on to undertake physician training at Royal Newcastle Hospital, Hunter Area Health Service and John Hunter Hospital, gaining his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 1998, and fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (FRCPA) the following year. In 2006 A/Professor Reeves completed his Master of Medical Statistics degree.

Dr Adrian Cachia

Dr Adrian Cachia

Dr Adrian Cachia graduated from the University of Sydney in 1989 with a degree in Medicine. After passing the Part 1 examination of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1991, he went on to train in Anatomical Pathology developing an interest in dermatopathology at the Prince Henry and St George Hospitals in Sydney.
He then joined SDS Pathology as its Medical Director. Among many accomplishments, Dr Cachia is a former President of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine and a lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. An expert in the design and management of large and complex legal and medical systems and laboratory processes, Dr Cachia is also passionate about quality assurance and scientific excellence in dermatopathology.
