Dr Edwards has held a position as a Research Fellow in the department of Medicine at the University of Sydney where he began his research career. He has since published numerous articles taking an interest in the influenza vaccination, asthma, pulmonary haemorrhage and idiopathic pulmonary haemosiderosis.

Prof Frank Monsour

​Professor Monsour is highly recognised for his services to the broader Australian community. He has been bestowed recognition and honours during his career, including the high honour of an Order of Australia (AM). Professor Monsour has gained high acclaim in his surgical discipline nationally and internationally, having led the Specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through Principal Medical Specialty recognition within Australia and New Zealand for many years. He was responsible for developing the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program and Hospital Units into internationally recognised training facilities. Additionally, he held appointments as Visiting Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska during the 1970s for a period of three years . Dr Phil Lockie

Dr Phil Lockie

During his training, he completed a research thesis that resulted in a Master of Philosophy Degree and won the UK Intensive Care Society’s Travelling Fellowship, which allowed him to visit trauma centres in Denver, Memphis, and Seattle. Dr Lockie was awarded a Fellowship from the Irish College of Surgeons in 1985 and won the Gold Medal at the Intercollegiate Examination in General Surgery in February 2003. He was the first surgeon from Belfast to win the Gold Medal. He was also awarded a Fellowship from the Australian College of Surgeons in 2006. Dr Lockie specialises in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the abdomen and gastrointestinal tract. He offers a comprehensive range of weight loss procedures, all performed laparoscopically. Dr Lockie is a member of the European Hernia Society and is particularly interested in the laparoscopic repair of groin and abdominal hernias.
