After gaining his medical degree at the University of London, Dr Journeaux commenced orthopedic training and worked at leading hospitals in Bristol, Yorkshire and London in the United Kingdom. He also completed Fellowship training in complex hip and knee replacement as the Bone and Cartilage Transplantation Fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane 1996. Before moving to Australia in 2003, he was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Liverpool, UK, for five years. From March 2003 to June 2014, Dr Journeaux held the position of Director of Orthopaedics at Mater Health Services in Brisbane.
He holds GEPI accreditation with WorkCover Queensland and is a Member of the Medical Assessments Tribunal, SIRA Authorised Health Practitioner Panel, and WorkSafe Victoria Panel. Dr David Hayes is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who was educated in Brisbane and received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1989. Dr Janan Chandrananth completed his undergraduate medical training at The University of Melbourne in 2012. He went on to complete his orthopaedic fellowship training across multiple New South Wales and Canberra institutions, also including a rotation in the USA at the Shriners Hospital for Children, and was awarded his fellowship in 2021.
Dr Janan Chandrananth continually contributes to the medical industry through research, publications and industry events. He additionally holds multiple teaching and mentor roles for medical students and junior doctors. He is part of The University of Melbourne’s MDHS Mentorship program for medical students and aspiring young doctors.
Outside of work, Dr Chandrananth has trained in martial arts, being awarded the Bushido cross and black belt second dan in Karate.
