Dr David Hayes is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who was educated in Brisbane and received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1989. Dr Crowe has a special expertise in hip and knee replacements, as well as shoulder replacements for arthritis and cuff arthropathy , and well-developed expertise in the treatment of ligamentous injuries to the above joints, instability of the joints, particularly the patellofemoral joint of the knee and vast experience in articular cartilage restoration in the knee joint.

Dr Janan Chandrananth completed his undergraduate medical training at The University of Melbourne in 2012. He went on to complete his orthopaedic fellowship training across multiple New South Wales and Canberra institutions, also including a rotation in the USA at the Shriners Hospital for Children, and was awarded his fellowship in 2021.
Dr Janan Chandrananth continually contributes to the medical industry through research, publications and industry events. He additionally holds multiple teaching and mentor roles for medical students and junior doctors. He is part of The University of Melbourne’s MDHS Mentorship program for medical students and aspiring young doctors.
Outside of work, Dr Chandrananth has trained in martial arts, being awarded the Bushido cross and black belt second dan in Karate.

In 2000, he was accepted for a subspecialty Hip and Knee Replacement Fellowship at Harvard University Medical School, Boston. During this time, he published multiple research papers on knee kinematics and function of knee replacements; his research team published some crucial concepts relating to knee flexion that was critical in the development of high flexion knee designs. He trained under and worked with some of the leading knee and hip surgeons in the world at Massachusetts General Hospital and The Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
On his return to Melbourne, he has settled into private practice at Cabrini Health, both in Brighton and Malvern, as well as maintaining a public appointment at Sandringham and District Memorial Hospital.
