Prof Frank Monsour

​Professor Monsour is highly recognised for his services to the broader Australian community. He has been bestowed recognition and honours during his career, including the high honour of an Order of Australia (AM). Professor Monsour has gained high acclaim in his surgical discipline nationally and internationally, having led the Specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through Principal Medical Specialty recognition within Australia and New Zealand for many years. He was responsible for developing the Queensland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program and Hospital Units into internationally recognised training facilities. Additionally, he held appointments as Visiting Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska during the 1970s for a period of three years .
