Dr Ron Jithoo
Dr. Ron Jithoo completed his medical degree With Deanu2018s Commendation in South Africa in 1992 and then completed Neurosurgery training in Durban and Melbourne. He holds fellowships of the college of surgeons of South Africa and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons by examination.
Dr Jithoo holds a statutory appointments with the Victorian WorkCover panel as well as the Veterans review board and is an Advisor to the federal health minister. He is an adjunct research fellow with Monash university. He has previously been elected by his peers as secretary to the Neurosurgery board of Australasia.
He has been past acting head of department of the Alfred Hospital department of Neurosurgery and is currently an examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons final part Neurosurgery exams.
