Dr Peter Spittaler

Dr Peter Spittaler is an Australian-trained Adult and Paediatric Neurosurgeon. Dr Spittaler grew up in Sydney NSW attending Newington College before completing his medical qualifications at University of Sydney. He had training appointments at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital (Perth), Royal
Adelaide Hospital and overseas appointments as a Senior Registrar in Newcastle -upon-Tyne in the UK, a Fellow in Skull Base Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and as a visiting Neurosurgeon in Lithuania. Dr Spittaler has travelled to Europe, Asia and the Middle East to offer education and confer with peers in best practice and cutting-edge technology. Dr Spittaler also is a Clinical Examiner in Surgery (Australia and New Zealand) and has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Spittaler was appointed as a Head of Department (Neurosurgery) at John Hunter Hospital and is currently a visiting Neurosurgeon at Newcastle Private Hospital, Lingard
