Dr Michael Jones
Dr Jones is currently the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Childrenu2019s Hospital at Westmead and a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney. Dr Jones undertook sub-specialty fellowship training at the Hospital for Sick Children and University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada) where he received the Morin Award for most outstanding fellow.
Dr Jones undertook further subspecialty training in retinoblastoma with Brenda Gallie. He has a keen interest in teaching and research and completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Sydney in mitochondrial DNA and age-related maculopathy.
