Dr Brown is a qualified General Practitioner and current Advanced Trainee in Addiction Medicine (FAChAM expected 2026) working in public practice, with a broad background in health leadership and military medicine through the Royal Australian Air Force. His clinical experience spans primary care, addiction medicine (including alcohol and drug use), aviation medicine, mental health, and veteran care.
He has a particular interest in health systems, policy, and medicolegal practice, with a focus on functional assessments and the medicolegal dimensions of complex presentations — including substance use and occupational risk.
