Dr Andrew Saies
Dr Saies has practiced exclusively as an upper extremity orthopaedic surgeon predominantly in private practice at sportsmed in South Australia for 35 years and for the last 6 years in public practice as well. He has been providing medical reports as a treating surgeon, independent medical examiner, whole person impairment assessor for RTWSA and MAIS, for medical negligence cases and for SAET disputes in the workers compensation jurisdiction. Dr Saies has appeared in court as an expert witness in a number of jurisdictions over my career.I am quite comfortable giving evidence in court if needed.nn
Over the last four years he has been contracted as a medical advisor to RTWSA and have provided advice on the development and roll out of the new IAG regulations. He provide WPI assessor assistance and I undertake compliance reviews on assessor WPI reports.
He is regularly engaged by Self Insurers in SA to provide IME reports and by law firms seeking reports when representing parties in disputed matters.
He is a graduate and member of the AICD and Chair the Limestone Coast Local Health Network Board, this a Ministerial appointment.
