She completed her ophthalmic training at Sydney Eye Hospital and neuro-ophthalmic training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology, London. She completed a research fellowship at Emory Eye Centre, Atlanta and was a consultant neuro-ophthalmologist for Moorfields Eye Hospital and Kings College Hospital, London.
