Prof Fiona Mackie

She was the Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Paediatric Nephrology Association from 2012-2015 and still serves on the Executive. She is currently the paediatric representative on the Allocation Sub-committee of the Renal Transplant Advisory Group for Australia. Fiona is the incoming Chair of the International Paediatric Transplant Association Outreach Committee and has been actively involved in supporting nephrology and transplantation in Vietnam.

Dr Joel Steiner

Dr Joel Steiner

He is accredited at Royal North Shore Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital and the Sydney Adventist Hospital, and continues to contribute to spine care through research, publications and national teaching roles. Dr Steiner has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, presented at national and international scientific meetings, and is actively involved in ongoing clinical research spanning spinal oncology, surgical technique optimisation and patient outcomes.

Dr Steiner has a strong commitment to education and quality improvement. He is a facilitator within the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s training program, a clinical examiner and interviewer for surgical selection processes, and a participant in key quality and safety committees including CHASM and the Northern Sydney Hip Fracture Steering Committee.

Known for his meticulous clinical approach, evidence-based decision making, and calm manner, Dr Steiner is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for patients with complex spinal conditions.
