Dr Simon Journeaux

Dr Simon Journeaux

After gaining his medical degree at the University of London, Dr Journeaux commenced orthopedic training and worked at leading hospitals in Bristol, Yorkshire and London in the United Kingdom. He also completed Fellowship training in complex hip and knee replacement as the Bone and Cartilage Transplantation Fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane 1996. Before moving to Australia in 2003, he was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Liverpool, UK, for five years. From March 2003 to June 2014, Dr Journeaux held the position of Director of Orthopaedics at Mater Health Services in Brisbane.

He holds GEPI accreditation with WorkCover Queensland and is a Member of the Medical Assessments Tribunal, SIRA Authorised Health Practitioner Panel, and WorkSafe Victoria Panel. He is also accredited with Comcare and certified with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners in the AMA Guides 4th, 5th, and 6th Editions.

Dr David Hayes is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who was educated in Brisbane and received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1989. He completed his Orthopaedic training and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1999. Dr Hayes research interests are directed to knee surgery and hip arthroscopy. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally.
