Dr Trish Batchelor

Dr Batchelor is an approved Workcover IME provider and Permanent Impairment assessor for lower limb, upper limb, spine, skin and occupational infectious diseases. She is certified in Comcare Permanent Impairment assessments and is trained in the AMA 5th Guides.

Her expertise includes workers compensation, Department of Veterans Affairs assessments, fitness for work assessments, including for those in safety critical roles, risk management (particularly in the overseas environment), environmental health assessments, and tropical medicine.
In 2017 Dr Batchelor was awarded the Dean Southgate award for achieving the highest marks in the Occupational Physician Fellowship exams. She is currently a member of the Faculty Assessment Committee and Lead of the Stage B written exams.

She has experience as a non-executive director, including holding the role as Chair of several board subcommittees. In 2015, she became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has specific experience on hospital and healthcare network boards holding roles as Chair of the Education, Training and Research Committee and Chair of the Quality & Safety Committee. r Damon Thomas completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland, in New Zealand and trained across Auckland and Christchurch. By 2005 Dr Thomas completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Thomas completed subspeciality training at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery and on paediatric hand and microvascular surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Dr Damon Thomas has a unique interest in managing paediatric hand and upper limb conditions including congenital anomalies, cerebral palsy, sarcomas and acquired conditions such as obstetric brachial plexus palsy.
