Dr Laukens’ clinical philosophy is to foster a deep connection with the patient and work collaboratively to enhance insight and recovery. This deeper approach assists with identifying any underlying conditions which might have caused or aggravated the issue or condition. She has in-depth experience of a broad spectrum of mental health difficulties including depression and anxiety, trauma therapy, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and emotional needs relating to physical or chronic illness.
Her expertise lies in rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental, and forensic psychiatry, and she has been collaborating with WorkCover Queensland since 2016. Dr Laukens also serve as a member of the Medical Assessment Tribunal for WorkCover Queensland and has previously provided various reports to the courts in Western Australia, Victoria, and Queensland
