Associate Professor Peter Clyne

Dr Peter Clyne is an Associate Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Notre Dame. He has 43 years’ experience across a vast breadth of general medical practice. He was principal partner for 20 years in his family practice in the inner west of Sydney. In addition to general practice consulting and being available on-call 24/7  to his patients, A/Prof. Clyne performed a very wide range of clinical services, including minor surgery, industrial medicine, audiometry, exercise stress-testing, allergy testing, spinal mobilisation and manipulation, cryotherapy and sigmoidoscopy.

A/Prof. Clyne has had national leadership roles, including Chairman of Council at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and was a leading innovator in office pathology and practice management. He has represented General Practice at State and Federal levels on a multitude of government and professional committees. A/Prof. Clyne has been a Medical Educator for the RACGP Training Program and an examiner for the RACGP. He is presently an Examiner for the Australian Medical Council.

A/Prof Clyne provides expert medical opinion and medicolegal reports to the legal profession in matters regarding standards of care and breech in general medical practice and generalist hospital healthcare.  He is currently located in Double Bay but is also available for assessment via our tele-health platform, eAssess.
